No one should tell you that you are obsessed with fashion, considering it’s the subject of quite a few new tv projects.

Talk about a front row seat.

We’ve seen snippets of the transformations: a blonde Penélope Cruz with signature Medusa emblem behind her and a thigh-high slit fuchsia dress enveloping her petite frame as Donatella Versace. Alongside her are Édgar Rarmirez and Ricky Martin as Gianni Versace and his lover, Antonio D'Amico, in the trailer for American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, set to air in January 2018.

From that safety pin dress to signature OTT glamour, the late Versace was opulence personified, and his lifestyle matched with his beach-front Casa Casuarina as home and where he was tragically gunned down by deranged Andrew Cunanan. While the show delves into the opulent life and murder of the celebrated Italian couturier, it’s got fashion aficionados counting the weeks until it airs. (Thank you Ryan Murphy, who famously gave us the riveting and award-winning American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.)

And that’s just a hint of what’s to come.

The book narrates the fashion landscape of the decade, the faces synonymous with it, and their transformation from absolute anonymity to icon status and how it is still impacting pop culture today…because the ‘90s are back.
