The Italian brand’s colourful, fun and exuberant maximalist aesthetic echoes throughout the retail collection and when selecting our local cover star, we sought someone who embodied this effervescent energy. Local rap sensation Sho Madjozi exudes the spirit of Moschino, making her the perfect canvas for Jeremy Scott’s designs, which are all about positivity, love and diversity. The trailblazer has used fashion to powerful effect, showcasing Xitsonga culture and defining pop culture through focusing on the importance of heritage, in a modern context.
The H&Moschino collection centres around patterns, gold, leather, bright colours and pop culture imagery, paying homage to Moschino's heritage. Commenting on fashions power in our present context, Scott says: ‘"I want to be a bright light in the midst of so much darkness; people need a moment, a break from it.’
The MOSCHINO x H&M collection will be available in the Sandton and V&A Waterfront stores from the 8th of November.
