Activist and Actresss, Nomzamo Mbatha, launched the local #DOYOU anthem video series with PUMA, which is a call to action for women to embrace their individuality and basically slay in their lanes for Women's Month.
The video is the result of a call to action by Mbatha, asking women to post their #DOYOU videos on social media, sharing their stories. The 3 women who stood out and were selected to be a part of the campaign.Chumani Mtshixa, Thembakazi Silevana, and Yonela Mabi, spent the day with Nomzamo at the seasonal PUMA South African DO YOU photo shoot in Johannesburg
“Nomzamo not only inspires me but she gives me permission to ‘do me’; to do anything that my heart and mind desires,” says Chumani Mtshixa, a Politics and Social science student from Cape Town.
Thembakazi Silevana, a production assistant from Johannesburg, says: “Nomzamo has been an inspiration in my life as she is the epitome of hard work and resilience. The words of encouragement she gave us will forever be in my heart.”
“Nomzamo inspires me to do me the best way I know how,” says final year BA student Yonela Mabi from Port Elizabeth.
“Every young woman deserves to have someone on her side, who is going to believe in her and blow the wind beneath her wings just a little harder. I am grateful to be in a position where I can provide them with a platform to share their incredible stories.” says Mbatha.
